Grades will be based on the following. Late work will be graded off a
half-grade per overdue day.

1. Digitization Projects – 70%:
4 projects (photo, text, audio, video) at
15% each. Instructions for projects and grading details will be supplied by
class 4.

2. Group Project and Presentation – 20%
The class will be divided into 4 groups (printed text, photographs,
audio, video). Each group will survey their classmates to reveal personal
“lessons learned” with regard to the digitization of a given media format. In
addition to the survey, the group will produce a white paper, addressing
media-specific topics that will be defined by the instructor. Each team member
will be responsible for a section of the white paper. The group will prepare
and present a 20-minute media presentation for the last class day. The paper
and presentation each represent 10% of the total course grade.

3. Class Participation – 10%
To achieve an “A” in class participation, a
student must attend class and be prepared to participate in both discussions and
exercises.

Policy on Scholastic Dishonesty

agreed to these guidelines and must adhere to them. Students who violate
University rules on scholastic dishonesty are subject to disciplinary
penalties, including the possibility of failure in the course and/or
dismissal from the University.
