Student Evaluation and Grading:

Student evaluation and assessment for grading purposes will be divided among the assignments, and the degree and quality of personal involvement in and contributions to class group discussion, etc. Obviously, what you learn and retain from this course largely is dependent upon you: your thoughtful and deep attention to the readings, learning tasks, as well as the graded assignments. This course is team-taught by 5 instructors and requires intensive organization on our and your part. We all need to do our part to make this class the very best it can be.

I take class attendance very seriously; if you don’t attend, you can’t learn, participate nor keep up. If you miss a class due to illness or an unforeseen emergency, please contact me via e-mail asap to inform me of your absence. It will be your responsibility to do whatever needs to be done to catch up.

Specific graded assignments and their value follow:
Graded Assignments Grade Points

Quiz 2 20
Still images digitization 10
Text capture 10 (see full grading criteria at ocrproject-grading )
Audio Digitization 10

agreed to these guidelines and must adhere to them. Students who violate
University rules on scholastic dishonesty are subject to disciplinary
penalties, including the possibility of failure in the course and/or
