Introduce yourself to the class on the Blackboard. Selecting Discussion choose the forum topic entitled Who Are You? Introductions. Please include 1) your name, 2) place of birth, 3) what kind of work you want to do, and 3) your preferred style of manager in a work environment. 4) What do you hope to get out of this class?

In your group discuss the topic of what makes a successful team. Consider teams in which you have worked or played. Why were they successful? What kinds of problems have you experienced in teamwork? How were they resolved? What types of rules for behavior (informal or formal) were agreed upon? As a group create a document (MS word document) that summarizes your group's

Assignment

Begin work on your resume for your e-portfolio. Review the Career Services workshop material on how to build a strong resume.

Please review the description of this semester's project. The team must reach consensus on what facet of the project they plan to address. Once the team has selected a project, send an email to the instructor with a brief project proposal. All projects should be approved no later than Wednesday, October 1 at 11:30pm.

  3. Attach to this form to a report that includes:
    • Your personal definition of leadership based on your own experience as well as your readings. (Note: You will find that some of these Web sites are more relevant than others to this course. Include any comments you may have (very brief) on which of these sites were the most useful to you.)
    • A short report (no more than 3 pages) summarizing the results from the above instruments used to assess your strengths and weakness.
    • Keep the agenda and report for your personal reflection and use over time.
